Description
Architect: José Antonio Ponte
It was the engineer Juan Vollmer who commissioned Ponte, in 1937, to design the factory.
Although it is not a totally rationalist work, most of its elements denote a modern look.
The building takes the shape of a T. The production hall occupied the longest arm, positioned obliquely with respect to the road. It was a gabled pavilion. Transversal to it was the services body.
The front part of this body is completed with a series of large windows and portholes, and on a panel of wooden boards, the inscription La Palmera, in tropical typography, is displayed.
