Description
Architects: José Manuel Aizpúrua, Joaquín Labayen
Aizpúrua and Labayen were inspired by the house of Paul Artaria and Hans Schmidt in Basel (1929).
The house for the painter Jesús Olasagasti is made up of two overlapping boxes arranged in an L-shape.
Although the upper volume is built on columns, they are columns that avoid the form and character of the pilotis, a resource typical of Le Corbusier, which the architects considered outdated. They are square section posts arranged on the same façade plane.
